WHILL Model A is made of a durable lightweight aluminum alloy that supports passengers weight of up to 220 pounds.

This portable power chair only weighs 255 pounds which makes it convenient for transport, travel and storage. With raisable and height-adjustable armrests, joystick controller can be mounted on the left or side for easy use and operation.

Our WHILL Model A model also includes a 12.5 inch rear wheel system for better performance on all surfaces. This power chair ships to you directly fully assembled, simply unpack, charge it and you are ready to go! Regain your mobility with our WHILL Model A.

You get the chair of course, as well as 2 state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries, a battery charger, a joystick for effortless control, easy-to-follow instructions and a detailed owner’s manual. And the best part? There’s no assembly required! All you do is charge the chair for 2-4 hours, plug in the joystick and you are ready to go.

The Model A WHILL personal mobility device is intended for people who suffer from circulatory, respiratory, neurological or other health conditions that affect their mobility. Electric wheelchairs are NOT recommended for those suffering from spinal cord injuries. If you are unsure whether an electric wheelchair is right for you, consult your doctor.

The Model A WHILL personal mobility device has been engineered with efficiency in mind. As such it tips the scales at a very trim 220 lbs. while retaining the carrying capacity of much heavier chairs. The Model A WHILL power's lighter weight means greater mobility and longer battery life.

Each of the lithium-ion batteries that come with your Model A WHILL personal mobility device weighs 2 lbs. As such they are light enough for virtually anyone to change.

Charging the battery on your Model A WHILL personal mobility device is a simple and safe procedure. Just make sure the chair is turned OFF when charging. If the power is left on while charging it may cause damage to various electrical components and void the warranty. Again, turn the chair OFF when charging. Yes. There are no restrictions against bringing your Model A WHILL personal mobility device on a commercial airline or private plane. Different airlines, however, may have slightly different procedures for accommodating you. As such, it is always best to contact your airline beforehand and alert them to your situation.

Yes. But it is likely you will need to obtain a converter in order to change the voltage or an adapter to ensure you will be able to plug into the local wall socket.

The lithium-ion battery takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to charge completely.

Delivery time depends on the delivery method you have chosen. Keep in mind that it takes 1 day to process your order and prepare it for shipping. That does not change no matter which delivery method you choose. Once the order is ready to ship it will take 4-5 business days to arrive if you choose FedEx Ground (free), 2 days if you choose FedEx 2-Day Air ($299.95) and 1 day if you choose FedEx overnight ($399.95). At this time we do not offer expedited shipping for international orders.

Your Model A personal mobility device comes with 2 brand new lithium-ion batteries so you always have one ready to go. If you still wish to purchase an additional battery or batteries, you can do so through our Parts page.

We offer a full array of replacement parts for the Model A on our Parts page. This includes everything from armrests, to joysticks, to seat cushions, wheels and more.

If you are not completely satisfied with your chair you have 60 days from the date of purchase to return it to us. Just make sure the chair is clean and in its original packaging and that you obtain a return authorization number prior to sending the chair. There will also be a 10% restocking fee on any returned chair.

Each Model A personal mobility device carries a 5-year warranty on the frame and a 1-year warranty on electrical components, including the battery.

The best thing you can do to ensure your Model A is always in tip-top shape is to keep it clean. Don’t allow dirt and debris to accumulate on the wheels and undercarriage and wipe down all components of the chair on a regular basis. Beyond that, an annual maintenance check is also recommended to ensure everything is in good working order. Please see the “maintenance” section of our website to learn more.
