We had been away from home for about a week when my power wheelchair was reaching the end of its go power. Luckily this place was close to the Drury Inn we stayed at in Kansas City Kansas area just down the street really. The guy was extremely kind and said he had a charger we could rent to charge up my chair again, so we could get home without my kids having to push me around. We rented it on a Saturday. I went to try and purchase a breast pump after having my daughter and initially everything was fine. I went in, someone was started to help me right away and had me sit down and start paperwork while he got a pump, showed it to me, and put it in a bag. That’s where things changed. The person who started to help walked off as I was doing the paperwork to help someone else and never came back to finish helping me. I let another employee know I was done with the paperwork and was asked to wait. I waited for about 30 minutes and eventually someone else came over, took my paperwork, and left me to wait longer. She then came back and let me know they were unable to contact my insurance so I was unable to get the pump but they would call me when they heard back. After a week I still hadn’t heard from them so I called to see what was going on. Provided my name and information and was put on hold while they tried to figure out what was going on. I was told yet again that they were unable to get in contact with insurance but that they would try again and call me back in the next 2-3 days. Same response when I called after another week past. That was 4 months ago and I’ve never heard back from them

I have had my jazz power chair for maybe a little over a year and I have had nothing but trouble with it. I call him and they send somebody out and supposably fix it but it is never fixed. It has no good speed it fish tales. The seat is leaning to the left side .I was going up a incline to Dollar tree. And it would not go. There I was stuck in the street.😠 I am tired of calling them and they never fix it☹️☹️😠

They have been a nuisance to me they know they're not supposed to be billing me for anything but they continue to send me a bill and every so often they keep up in it $15 more dollars well they are being investigated

Incredible service. I landed at LAX, on a Saturday night, and my power wheelchair (Invacare TDX3) was broken with 2 hours to go before my flight to Singapore. I thought my trip was ruined, as the first place I called was closed. Thankfully Les answered, asked for a picture of the chair, and came to the airport ASAP to fix the problem. I told him I would pay whatever he wanted, as the airline would reimburse me, and he would only accept $100. This was our first experience with this situation and Art gave great advice on precisely where the best placement should be, based on his 30+ years of experience. I would give Art a 10 for quality, value, professionalism, and response. I recently spent $175.00 for a repairman from MRS to evaluate my scooter that had just quit on me. The repairman said my batteries were dead. To replace the batteries would cost $550 each (2). Instead I went to Interstate Batteries to see if they could help. They didn’t carry this battery but gave me Art’s card and told me to get a second opinion. Art responded to my call right away and tested the batteries. They were both good. He took my scooter and 2 hours later he returned it FIXED! He only charged me $75 for a service call and labor. It was a plug in the dash that had become disconnected. I would recommend Art to anyone whose looking for honest service.

Great service and fair prices. We had him install handrails in my grandmothers bathroom and they came out great. She couldn’t be happier with them, he was friendly and prompt. Would recommend, and will call again the next time we need to repair her chair.

Very happy with the electric mobility scooter we rented. We had previously booked with another big company who cancelled on us when we arrived in San Francisco. Allure was recommended by our hotel and they saved the day! The scooter was in good condition and worked fantastic. Allure was able to arrange a same day delivery and came within a few hours of talking. When they dropped off the scooter they gave a instruction on how to set up and take down so we could transport it in the car to other locations. At the end of our stay we were able to leave the scooter with the front desk and they came to pick it up. It was all very smooth sailing! When we are back we will definitely be using Allure as they were nice and convenient.

Rented a rolling walker after a back injury made it too painful to walk on vacation to SF. The walker worked very well and was a reasonable rental price for SF. We got in and out of the store quickly and the staff helped us find the right equipment.

Called several times to see if they carried what we were looking for, staff always promised to call back but never did so we finally went in. Staff was friendly while we were there. Took measurements and said they would order replacement wheels and look into power assist wheelchairs and call us in a week or so. Two weeks went by so I called. Sales person was busy so clerk took name and number and said he would call back. Another three weeks went by without a word, I called back again— same thing took my number we will call you. A month went by- nothing. Called again. Sales person busy he will call back. I’m done, clearly they neither want nor need my business. Just irritating because several medical supply stores suggested this place as the place to go for wheelchair repairs and power assist wheelchairs.

Bought an overpriced scooter there in 2013. They over charged for repair, rented me a defective old scooter that left me stranded in the middle of a busy street and they had no one to come pick me up. A few weeks later I had more trouble with the scooter they overcharged me to repair because all they did was put in a new battery instead of shooting the trouble. The whole repair cost over $500 and the scooter still didnt operate correctly, but I refuse to do business with Allure anymore, so I found someone else to fix it. I think it is criminal to gouge and cheat disabled and elderly people like this. Too bad we dont have more and better choices and service. I keep looking, but there isnt much out there and that is a shame because baby boomers are legion and need mobility vehicles more everyday.

The Pride Scooter we rented was great, but we received a large charge to our credit card several days after we returned it. When I called, they said it was for extreme damage! Of course, we are now disputing the charge.

We came here when my daughter outgrew her wheelchair of 7 years. Drew, who actually designed and built her last one at another store, works here now, and remembered my little Harley-bug after all this time.
